Free internet for households that cannot afford it
We provide free internet access to households in difficult social and economic situations in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic.
About us
Internet peering center o.s. is a nonprofit organization (registered association) based in Bruntál, Czech Republic. We help households for which regular internet bills are a significant financial burden to keep their access to the internet.
What we do
- We provide free internet connectivity to supported households.
- We choose a suitable provider based on the infrastructure available at each address, working with both local and national providers.
- We handle the technical and administrative side – service activation and changes, troubleshooting and communication with providers.
- We keep records of all connections with a strong emphasis on protecting the personal data of supported households.
Why it matters
Today, the internet is essential for dealing with public authorities, looking for work, education of children and adults, access to social and health services, and everyday life. Without it, a family can easily become digitally excluded. Our goal is to make sure that a household's economic situation does not cost it its access to the internet.
